How does a woman who can’t sing or dance turn her dreams into reality? Positive-thinking, energetic, powerful and persistent, Jennifer Monteith lives her dream career in show business. As founder and president of The Exhibitor Support Centre (TESC) - “Your Office Away from the Office,” Monteith delivers outstanding performances at copiers, facsimile machines and computers at hundreds of events, festivals, trade shows and Conventions.

A fashion industry pioneer, Monteith broke new ground as the Eaton’s catalogue first black model. That led to the launch of her model and talent agency – Different Faces – showcasing Toronto’s cultural diversity with models from a variety of cultures, genders and age groups – an idea ahead of it’s time and still relevant in a global economy.

While raising her two sons, Monteith and her husband, ran a successful catering company in Belleville, Ontario.

Monteith returned to Toronto in 1990, determined to re-establish her name in “show business”. With the insightfulness of a natural entrepreneur, she recognized and seized the opportunity to start a much needed service - The Exhibitor Support Centre – a business centre situated right on the trade show convention floor, that provided clients with photocopying, fax transmittal, and reception services.

The business flourished through the determination and perseverance of the founder who is committed to providing clients with personal, superior customer service. It has grown through word-of-mouth and referrals from satisfied clients.

In 1993, Monteith was recipient of the Canadian Mentor Award. Tireless in her volunteer efforts with women and youth, she received the United Way Volunteer Award for Mentorship Program - Micro Skills Women Entrepreneurs program in 2004.
